Returning Students and Adult Students Accounting and Business Management Program
|
|
If you graduated from high
school at least five years ago and you're thinking of returning to college,
Marymount Manhattan College has an Accounting and Business Management
program that may fit your needs. Marymount gives special consideration
to returning adult students including:
- Advisement and academic
planning
- Flexible scheduling
- Internships
- Credit for life experience
When you enroll in our program,
you will be assigned to a special advisor for returning students. The
advisor will assist you in the transition from full-time employee to part-time
student and will help you plan your first year schedule. Courses are offered
during the day and evening, on weekends and during January and summer
mini-sessions.
At Marymount Manhattan College, Accounting and Business Management students
get a well-rounded education in both the liberal arts and business. The
core curriculum includes courses in all areas of business and accounting.
Once you finish the basics, you will choose a concentration:
- Finance and Investments
- Human Resources
- International Business and
Economics
- Marketing
Internship can help those working
both full-time and part-time to broaden their skills and move into new
areas. For returning adults who are employed full-time, the business faculty
will work with you and your employer to create an internship on your job.
For adults working part-time, we will help you write a resume and find
an internship. Our students have worked in a variety of financial, marketing
and accounting organizations such as:
- Avon
- Bates Worldwide
- Bloomberg Business News
- CBS
- Merrill Lynch
- Morgan Stanley Dean Witter
- Ogilvy and Mather
- Standard and Poor's
- Time Warner
No matter where you are in
your education or your career, Marymount Manhattan's Accounting and Business
Management program will give you the skills and the confidence to move
ahead in a rapidly changing marketplace.
