Major Gifts to MMC
(January 1, 2006 - Jun 2006)
Carlo V. Tamburro and his siblings contributed $99,107.19 to the Kathleen "Kit" Tamburro '64 and Carlos H. Tamburro Scholarship Fund.
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation gave a grant of $45,000 to support summer programming at MMC.
An anonymous alumna and trustee contributed $31,665 to the College. $30,800 will be applied to the McIntyre Family Scholarship Fund, with the balance going to MMC's priority needs.
Kathleen O'Grady '77 donated $27,500 to the First Generation Scholarship through the O'Grady Family Foundation.
Maureen Kavanagh Chilton '83 donated $25,000 to MMC through The Chilton Foundation. This gift is the first installment of a pledge of $100,000 to establish the William Kavanagh Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Mr. and Mrs. Seth Glickenhaus donated $25,000 through the Glickenhaus Foundation toward MMC's Annual Appeal.
Trustee Marsha A. Hewitt '67 donated $25,000 through the Carl and Marsha Hewitt Foundation to MMC's Annual Appeal.
The Brand Foundation of New York donated $15,000 to the Writing Center.
The Mortimer Levitt Foundation gave $15,000 to the Writing Center.
The Rudin Foundation donated $15,000 to support the 2007 Jack and Lewis Rudin Distinguished Visiting Scholars Lecture Series at MMC.
Tina E. Flaherty donated $10,000 to support the Writing Center.
Margaret M. Sokol gave $10,000 to support faculty development at MMC.
Gertrude Whitney Conner donated $10,000 to the Writing Center.
The James S. and Merryl H. Tisch Foundation gave $10,000 to MMC's Annual Appeal.
