Health and Wellness Services

The Office of Health and Wellness Services fosters partnerships with Health and Wellness service providers within the greater New York community for MMC students. Referrals for health care providers, outreach services and clinics are available. In addition, we provide 24-hour hotlines for our students to assist them with assessing medical and emergency situations. These hotlines include:
  • A nurse triage, which provides referral information and helps increase communication between the students and their doctors (1-800-556-1555).

  • As a complement to our campus counseling center, there is a mental health professional hotline provided by Aetna's Student Assistance Program (SAP). You can contact them at 1-877-351-7889 or visit the SAP on the web at www.AetnaSAP.com and enter your school ID: {MARYMOUNT}.

Alternatively, students can access the physician referral service, Continuum Health Partners Hospital System; students may call 1-800-420-4004 or visit them on the web at www.wehealnewyork.org . Students will be connected to a provider from some of the best hospitals in the New York City area (Beth Israel, St. Lukes Roosevelt, Long Island College Hospital and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary).

Moreover, if a student is participating in the Marymount Manhattan sanctioned health insurance program, they can search for providers online at Aetna's "Doc Find".

Emergencies must be treated immediately at all times and students should not hesitate to contact 911. If an emergency takes place while on campus, students should also contact the Office of Student Affairs immediately. Students who reside in the residence halls should contact the Resident Advisor on duty.
